Wire Line drill rods
The drill rod string is the transmitter of the rotation and torque to the cutting tool. Must be hollow to allow circulation of the drilling fluid to the front of the core barrel (core bit).
On wire line Systems, it is especially important the inner of the rods, as the inner tube assembly is passing through them.
TECSO, S.A. offers different types of rods depending on the type of thread and several diameters.
- Conventional wire line drill rods
- Heat Treated wire line drill rods
- SD wire line drill rods
- GEO-LINE 146S wire line drill rods
The International Standard for wire line System (ISO 10097-1:99 WIRE LINE CORE DRILLING EQUIPMENT) shows the geometry of the rods, and the mechanical properties that rods must fulfill.
TECSO, S.A.; matches the geometry, and keeps mechanical characteristics of its rods well above the requirements of the Standard.
A balanced and in good condition drill rod string causes the rotational motion and torque is transmitted vibration free and without swinging.
This prevents premature wear and breakage of the materials.
Wire line drill rods requires and appropriate use and a continuous maintenance.
