TTR core barrel
It is a specially designed core barrel to testify in soft formations, unconsolidated and variables.
Its main feature is its ability to adapt to the formation to be found, which can be of different hardness.
This thanks to a retraction system of the inner tube, which depending the hardness of the formation to be drilled, allows the corelifter case/shoe goes in front of the bit or remain at its level. The quality of the core is not affected by the drilling fluid, resulting in a minimally disturbed sample.
In soft grounds, shoe is ahead of the bit.
On compact soils, the strong cohesion raises the shoe to the bit level but the core is not affected by the drilling fluid.
The sample also is encapsulated in a polyethylene tube, which allows carry it to the laboratory in the best conditions and preserves its original features.
It is manufactured in diameters 86, 101 and 116mm.
