TT core barrel
Are recommended when looking for a good recovery on compact formations with a hardeness between medium to very hard.
These core barrel use a thin wall diamond bit that contributes to economize the drilling due to low consume of diamond and the high penetration ratio.
The annular space between the outer and the inner tube is narrow, so it will work with clean water or with very low viscosity mud.
Circulation fluid enters in the head through the rod and passes through holes into the annular space between tubes, down to the cutting tool, cooling it and helping the removal of the cutting, which will ascend with the fluid through the annular space between the outer tube and the walls of the hole to the surface, so that fluid only come into contact with the core in the cutting area. The inner tube is fixed to receive the core, while the outer tube transmits the rotation from the rod to the bit, through a bearing housing installed in the core barrel tube
head.
Diameters available are TT 46 and TT 56.
These core barrels are used traditionally in mining underground areas. We recommended to using with a high speed drill rig and with aluminium rods in diameters 43 and 53 mm.
